As 77 GHz automotive radars become standard across vehicle fleets, dense traffic puts many sensors in the same band at the same time. Radar-to-radar interference can raise the noise floor, mask weak targets such as pedestrians and motorcyclists, and create ghost detections. Any of these can degrade the performance of features like AEB, ACC, and lane-change assist. Physical testing of these cases is costly, hard to repeat, and difficult to scale. This webinar shows how to use electromagnetic simulation in HFSS to model interference physically, from antenna and bumper effects through multipath propagation in realistic traffic scenes. This lets teams find weaknesses before hardware and road testing.
